The Erie Art Museum's 18th Annual Blues & Jazz Festival
A fantastic free weekend of Blues and Jazz music in Frontier Park. (Saturday, Aug. 7 & Sunday, Aug. 8)
It’s the largest jazz and blues event in the Erie, Pa. region.  The two-day Festival presents national, regional and local musicians in a beautiful outdoor, family-friendly setting. PLEASE NOTE NEW FESTIVAL POLICIES: Due to the increasing attendance at the Festival, the Erie Art Museum will enforce a strict tent policy.  In addition to regulating tent placement, the Erie Art Museum will not permit any tents to be set-up prior to 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2009.  Festival staff will strictly enforce this regulation.  All tents set-up prior to this time will be taken down and can be redeemed at the Festival's Information Tent.  Additionally, please note that overnight camping at Frontier Park is against City of Erie ordinance, as is open-flame cooking (e.g. charcoal grills and turkey fryers) and that City of Erie police will be strictly enforcing this rule.  Propane grills are permitted.

Token sales in the Gravel Pit Park will end at 9:00 pm on Friday and Saturday evening.  The wine tent will stop serving at 9:30pm.  No ticket required for Gibson Park.  No pets, beverages or coolers may be brought into Festival Grounds.

18th Annual Harley Owners Group Erie MDA Poker Run, Sponsored by Harley-Davidson of Erie
The ride starts at Harley-Davidson of Erie 4575 W Ridge Rd in Erie.
ALL BIKES WELCOME!!! The first bike goes out at 10:00 am and the last bike goes out at 12:00 pm. The 110 mile route will go into Southern Erie County and into Eastern Ohio. There will be a covered bridge in Ashtabula, OH as a stop. The event will end  in Albion where there will be games, door prizes,
a DJ and food. Cash Prizes for Top Three Hands!
Registration Fee: $10 Donation per poker hand. Registration fee includes: One poker hand. First 400 registrations receive an "Official" Collectable 2010 MDA Pin. Music by DJ Bill Page at the last stop - ALBION FAIRGROUNDS - Public welcome to attend and support MDA.

THE RIDE BEGINS: Leaving Main St. under the joined ladders of 2 aerial trucks holding the American flag with a large contingent of fire department apparatus lining both sides of the street.
The ride features stops held by various fire departments in Erie County. Under the advice of many riders we made some changes from last year. We will starting at a later time. We will stay in one pack the entire time with an emergency vehicle in the front of the pack and a emergency vehicle in the back of the pack . In order to make the ride more affordable for riders and passengers there is an option to buy T-shirts and food separately. The ride will finish at the General Electric Picnic Grove on the shores of Lake Erie. T shirts and Food will be available at the picnic grounds.
